Rising each morning    to sunlight and grace
                               the joy to be alive              the joy of our home
                               the joy of our community     the joy of our country
     how blessed I am.

Enjoy each moment
Treasure each moment
     For the joy is tarnished         by the threat of violence
          towards me
          towards my friends
          towards my county
          towards others by my country
     all in the name of being right.

When will we learn
          not by power
          not by might
          but by the spirit alone          shall we live in peace.

Do I believe in God
Do I believe in the God of Mohammed
Do I believe in the God of Buddha
Do I believe in the God of Abraham
Do I believe in the God of Many Cultures
Do I believe in the God of the Hindus
Do I believe in the God of Tao

Do I trust God of all to lead us to peace
          In all homes
          In all communities
          In all countries
          among all countries
          in a world of peace

              where differences are respected
              where we see ourselves as a global community
              where we connect with the energy of others in every corner of the world

                         in an attitude of peaceful resolution of conflict and justice.
I connect:

          With every breath I take
          With every word I speak
          With every step I make.
